Words Upon Launch

Well, let me have a sip of tea first.

It is going live at midnight tonight; it all feels rather sudden.

Sometimes, when I feel my age, I realize how fair time is. It treats everyone and everything in this world with perfect equality. And so, I am no longer that hot-blooded youth in my early twenties; even students would probably call me "uncle" now.

Once you reach a certain age, your thoughts become simpler and your emotions more settled. I used to think—self-righteously, perhaps—that nothing could ever make me act on impulse again. Of course, that was just me being conceited. Yet, at this age, along with the fading of impulsive urges, one becomes much more prone to being moved. Every time I see the support from both new and old readers, I am deeply touched, truly.

Since I am not the fastest writer, I do not have much of a buffer of chapters saved up. I had originally prepared two chapters for today, and since I cannot afford to skip a day, I will release one for free and one as a paid chapter. I humbly ask for your subscriptions.

Please consider it as receiving two chapters today. Moving forward, I will strive for two chapters a day, and I will certainly add more whenever I can.

The chapters will be released around 12:10 AM.
