Patilina held her spear high, pointing it toward Lolth as if guiding an attack. In the subspace behind the little girl, a series of massive cannons materialized out of thin air, roaring once more as they unleashed a dazzling brilliance that showered down upon Lolth like falling blossoms.

On the other side, Enoe’s figure flickered like a ghost amidst the dark play of light and shadow. Moving with a trail of blurred afterimages, she swiftly arrived at Lolth's side, her scythe sweeping forward mercilessly to strike at the spider-legged demoness's limbs once again. Lolth, clearly not so easily caught, twisted her body; while dodging Patilina’s bombardment, she raised a spider leg and thrust it forcefully toward Enoe. Facing the sharp, venom-laden appendage, Enoe felt not a shred of fear. Instead, her long-handled scythe danced through the air, tracing a dizzying trajectory as she met the attack head-on.

"Clang!"

The scythe collided with Lolth’s spider leg, sending sparks whistling and shattering into beautiful, glowing dust.

Yet, this beautiful dust brought with it the shadow of death.

Under the illumination, the once incredibly tough spider leg began to wither at a rate visible to the naked eye. The mark of time seemed to accelerate a thousandfold; the iron-hard venomous bristles turned dry and shriveled. A cold aura, like a gust of frigid wind, burrowed into Lolth’s body, transforming into a ruthless blade that struck at her heart.

The power of death!

Sensing this chilling energy, Lolth was struck with shock. The power of death is something no living being dares to ignore, even one as mighty as a deity. But it was already too late. Under the encroachment of death, the spider leg that had been perfectly healthy reached the end of its life, shriveling and curling like a dead tree trunk, no longer able to support Lolth’s massive frame. Her body tilted, losing its center of gravity. Lolth’s reaction was swift, however; she immediately transformed her left hand into a sharp, hooked claw and hacked down forcefully at the limb eroded by the power of death, instantly severing it from her body.

But Lolth failed to notice that above her head, the subspace was rippling as it opened once more. Massive, pitch-black cannon barrels emerged silently, aiming at their target. A moment later, countless tongues of fire erupted simultaneously, unleashing a terrifying storm of gunfire upon her.

Off balance, Lolth could no longer support herself. Under the full-force bombardment of Patilina, she shrieked as she plummeted from the air, crashing heavily onto the ground. The earth shuddered violently with the Spider Queen's fall, and even the buildings in the already-ruined Menzoberranzan, which had been struggling to hold on, lost their final grip and collapsed with a deafening roar.

"You audacious maggots! This is my domain! Do you truly think you can defeat me here?"

Having struggled back to her feet, the Spider Queen was beyond furious. With a roar, the arms of her human-like upper body began to twist and deform, quickly shifting into two razor-sharp, monstrous claws. She opened her mouth and let out a series of ear-splitting, sonic-charged shrieks at Jan. Then, Lolth lunged forward. Simultaneously, hundreds of giant venomous spiders leaped from the void, forming a river of absolute darkness as they surged toward Jan.

Yet this time, facing Lolth’s assault, Jan did not dodge or attempt to block. Instead, he simply stood there, a cold and wicked smile on his face as he watched the massive swarm of spiders rushing toward him. He leisurely raised his left hand and snapped his fingers.

*Swish!*

Just as Lolth was about to reach Jan, a loud sound of metal grinding against metal echoed, and several enormous iron chains erupted from the ground, lashing out to seize her. Sensing the sudden ambush, Lolth let out a cold snort. Her arms swung to the sides, bathed in a murky, dark hue. Malignant divine power formed circular, hammer-like ripples between her arms, which tore outward with a screech, grinding the solid rock beneath her feet—and everything else in their path—into dust. The chains shooting toward her were no exception; they were corroded and shattered into pieces before they could even reach her.

Unfortunately, Lolth did not realize this was only the beginning.

*Crack!*

As one of Lolth’s remaining spider legs stepped onto a certain floor tile, sharp, tall spikes suddenly burst from beneath the surface, spinning as they thrust toward her massive abdomen. Caught completely off guard by such a trap, Lolth was struck squarely. The sharp steel spikes buried themselves deep into her spider-like belly. Deep green blood sprayed out, carrying a foul, nauseating stench. Wherever it touched, the ground turned charred and black. The adamantine spike that had pierced her abdomen did not survive either, dissolving rapidly like a melting candle under the erosion of divine blood.

However, it had achieved its purpose perfectly. Caught by surprise, Lolth stopped in pain, her body tilting as she retreated. But at that exact moment, explosive flames erupted from the floor, forming a massive cage of fire that trapped Lolth and her minions firmly inside. The overwhelming sea of spiders no longer posed a threat in the face of Jan’s traps. Countless spikes protruding from the depths of the ground created a terrifying, lethal forest of steel, turning the spiders into mangled piles of flesh. The flames from the explosive traps mercilessly incinerated these disgusting monsters, leaving nothing behind.

Success.

Seeing Lolth’s disheveled state, Jan revealed a sinister smile. Menzoberranzan might indeed be Lolth’s territory, but the vast, hollowed-out expanse of earth beneath it was no longer her domain; it had become part of Jan’s dungeon realm. Naturally, Jan had laid out a considerable number of traps here. Now, faced with Lolth’s onslaught, these traps had finally served their intended purpose. While they might be damaged beyond repair in this battle, for Jan, destroying a demigod was a bargain indeed.

Lolth was now in a wretched state. Patilina’s bombardment had left the mother spider a mess from head to toe, and while Enoe’s strike hadn't been fatal, it had successfully cost Lolth a leg, forcing her to maintain her balance in a grotesque, awkward manner. Furthermore, the spike traps from the ground had dealt her significant damage, sapping her vitality so thoroughly that she no longer had the heart for her previous bluster. Jan could see her muttering evil incantations, hoping to turn the tide.

But Jan clearly would not give her the time to make a comeback.

With a whistling wind, a massive, crescent-shaped blade manifested out of thin air and swung toward her. This forced Lolth to interrupt her spellcasting, clumsily crossing her arms before her chest to deflect the sudden scythe trap. With a dull thud, the crescent blade was knocked aside, but this was her final act of resistance.

The moment Lolth deflected the scythe, Patilina transformed into a streak of fire, streaking across the horizon as she collided head-first into the mother spider’s chest, spear and all. Having exhausted her energy in the previous barrages, Patilina no longer had the power to drive the subspace cannons, but as a knight, she clearly did not rely solely on ranged attacks.

Blue flames erupted from the thrusters behind her transformed spear, providing acceleration comparable to a fighter jet. In the blink of an eye, Patilina crossed the final distance, striking Lolth in the chest just as the spider-goddess swung her arms to ward off the trap.

"——————!!!"

Struck with devastating force, Lolth let out an indescribable scream, a thousand times harsher than fingernails on a chalkboard. Patilina’s desperate blow did not end Lolth’s life, but it shattered the last of her defenses. Even the smooth, delicate skin of her beautiful drow-like upper body cracked like a smashed stone wall, a web of fissures spreading across it—not merely a physical impact, but a sign of chaos deep within her very soul.

Lolth shrieked, swinging her arms to knock Patilina away. But in the next second, Enoe swapped positions with the falling knight. Her scythe extended several times its length, transforming into a whirlwind as she swept forward. Lolth’s raised right arm was severed before she could even retract it, spinning into the air amidst a spray of blood.

"You damned, wretched vermin...!"

Having lost another arm, Lolth collapsed to the ground, howling in fury. She raised her hand, desperate to unleash a cataclysmic disaster at any cost. Yet, before she could utter a single blasphemous word, a pitch-black, eerie longsword silently pierced through her heart from behind.
