The eyes of Subject One began to move, shifting from vacant to gradually sharp and focused. Michael noticed this change.

“It seems the regenerative capacity is truly terrifying; the brainstem cells must have been reborn. His brain should be functioning normally now.”

Subject One opened his mouth, revealing fangs, and surveyed the entire room. Michael understood that he now possessed the ability to think, but his brain was brand new, completely empty, so he couldn’t actually formulate any thoughts.
