"I have only one magazine left for the submachine gun, and the grenades are gone," Qin Qing said, checking his gear. "I have about fifty rounds left for the pistol."

Baitian picked at his ear, looking incredulous. "How many enemies did you say were left when you calculated it earlier?"

Even though they had already taken down quite a few guards, there were definitely no fewer than a thousand left on the ship. How were they supposed to fight with just this little ammunition?

Qin Qing pulled a dagger from his thigh and tossed it to him. "You said it yourself: kill them all."

"No, no, no—" Baitian threw the knife back, waving his hands repeatedly. "If we actually kill our way from the bow to the stern, we'll be spent."

Hearing footsteps, Qin Qing spun around and fired several shots, dropping the approaching enemies.

"Hey!" Baitian looked distressed. "Qing, didn't we agree to conserve ammo? You're just—"

"You two, I mean, you two," Mo Fei felt his brain throbbing. "Is this really the time to be arguing about this? Can we please think of a plan?"

"We have a plan," Qin Qing said nonchalantly. "Fight our way up."

"There's a helicopter on the top deck, originally meant for transporting those urgent organ shipments. Since things have already come to this... let's just hijack it."

Baitian nodded in realization. "Oh, right. Let's head up there now, then."

Qin Qing looked at him without saying a word.

"Fine, fine. I'll take the dirty, exhausting work, and leave the delicate stuff to you."

Baitian was still holding someone. He thought for a moment, set Li Momo down in a corner, and asked, "Qing, why don't you slap her a few more times?"

Qin Qing remained motionless, still staring at him.

Baitian raised his hands in surrender. "Fine. You two follow me."

Mo Fei didn't understand what they were up to, his eyes darting suspiciously between the two of them.

Baitian scanned the deck, his gaze finally landing on the hatch door. What happened next completely shattered Mo Fei’s worldview.

The hatch door was unlike an ordinary door; it was exceptionally sturdy. Without specialized machinery, it was basically impossible to remove. Yet, Baitian simply measured it with his eyes and began to pry it open with his bare hands.

He was prying it open with brute force.

The most terrifying part was that the hatch actually let out a groan of metal under immense stress, and the hinges began to deform.

Endless strength. Mo Fei couldn't think of a better term. When they first met, that loud crash—it wasn't an explosion, was it? It was just Baitian kicking a door?

As they were tearing the door off, more distinct footsteps echoed from the corridors on both sides.

The floor of the medical ship was made of either sheet metal or wood, which actually made it easier for them to defend. This time, the number of footsteps was much higher, and even Qin Qing’s expression turned solemn.

Their ammunition was limited; if they really ran out, they would become sitting ducks.

The logic held, but when faced with the enemies appearing before him, Qin Qing didn't hesitate to charge forward. Since his opponents weren't using guns, he wouldn't either.

In a narrow space like a ship’s corridor, melee combat was actually advantageous for him. A dagger appeared in Qin Qing's hand; his movements were light and swift, and he managed to land a lethal strike with every approach. He aimed for fatal points—the neck, the eyes—and once he struck, he didn't spare a second glance. Compared to gunfire, Qin Qing had more confidence in the wounds he inflicted with cold steel.

Watching his fluid, graceful movements and his solid martial arts foundation, Mo Fei couldn't help but click his tongue. He had thought they were just two clowns, but it turned out he was the only truly useless one. Still, he decided the title of "strongest mercenary" would remain with Long Er.

A rush of footsteps came from the other side of the corridor. It seemed the enemies realized the intruders were choosing to fight hand-to-hand and had begun a human-wave strategy.

Baitian, only halfway through removing the door, heard the commotion and stopped to prepare for battle.

Mo Fei waved his hand. "You continue; I'll handle this side."

"You?" Baitian might as well have had the word "doubt" written on his face. This weakling? Handle it? He’d be handled by them before he knew what hit him.

"Forget it. If you die, my trip was for nothing," Baitian muttered, grabbing the nearest iron cage and ripping an iron bar right off it. Although he had torn it near the welding point, it was iron, not wood, and looked incredibly intimidating. The "livestock" inside the cage stared in terror, looking as if they had seen a ghost. And there was no difference from seeing a ghost, really.

Mo Fei still had one piece of explosive left, which he had intended to use as a deterrent, but seeing Baitian, he gave up on the idea and rubbed his chest to catch his breath.

Baitian didn't have much technique in hand-to-hand combat; he just went at it. He possessed natural, infinite strength, and having trained extensively, crushing a human skull with his bare hands was no problem, let alone with an iron bar. When the bar swung and connected, heads burst like watermelons, red and white viscous matter splattering everywhere.

Mo Fei gagged at the sight. If his stomach hadn't been empty, he would have vomited his guts out.

Baitian heard the sound and looked back, mocking him. "And you said you'd help me handle it?"

Joke of the year.

He hadn't even finished laughing when a gunshot rang out. His bulletproof vest exploded with a large hole, exposing the ballistic layer underneath. The vest stopped the penetration, but the kinetic energy remained; the impact could easily bruise internal organs or cause fractures in an ordinary person. Baitian only felt a sharp pain, which he could endure. But even so, it was enough to infuriate him.

"We agreed on hand-to-hand combat, and you used guns?!"

In a fit of rage, Baitian threw the iron bar like a javelin. It traveled with immense speed, piercing through the man who had fired the shot. The bar went straight through his head and pinned him to the floor. The man died, but his body remained standing, his expression frozen in terror.

The scene was too brutal. Bullets couldn't kill them, and the man was taking them out one by one like popping balloons—who could muster the courage to keep fighting?

The guards looked at each other. One took a step back, and then everyone started retreating.

Baitian walked forward, his eyes bloodshot, and the guards scrambled backward. But before they could truly give up, more gunshots rang out from behind.

Baitian frowned and immediately turned back to the half-removed hatch, kicking it with all his might. With a series of thunderous bangs, the door wobbled and then crashed to the floor, leaving the "livestock" and Mo Fei staring in stunned silence.

Is this guy even human? A humanoid beast?

Baitian lifted the hatch door and stood in the corridor, preparing to use his brute strength to steamroll the battlefield. He was about to let out a roar, but the last guard in the corridor fell, revealing the figure of Long Er holding a gun.

"Ah—ah, ah?" Baitian stumbled to a halt. "Senior?"

"Forget the 'senior' talk," Mo Fei said, feeling nauseous. He pointed to the other side. "Your dear is about to collapse from exhaustion."

This small space had its pros and cons: it helped with defense, but it also limited movement. Qin Qing didn't have Baitian's monstrous strength, so naturally, he couldn't end the fight as quickly using technique alone.

Baitian scratched his head, turned in the other direction, and resumed his bulldozer plan.

He let out a fierce roar and charged forward: "AH!!!"
