Chapter 129: Thanks to an Abundance of Medicine Bottles

As expected, Gege Luo shrieked at the sky, releasing a wave of sonic damage that stunned everything in range, but because Huang Yunshuo was 20 meters off the ground, he remained unaffected.

He didn't run far enough; Huang Yunshuo was stunned, and Gege Luo lunged with its beak, triggering a critical hit. It raised its claws, preparing for a second strike.

His health, which had just been restored to 200, dropped below 70. Thanks to the Power of Cloud Patterns, his alloy armor's durability took another hit, but fortunately, Leap Slash was now available.

Using Leap Slash as a mobility skill, Huang Yunshuo soared five meters into the air.

Gege Luo leaped up to meet him. After landing three quick stabs, Huang Yunshuo switched to his rocket launcher and blasted Gege Luo in the head.

He could walk step by step through the air without falling.

"Its skill seems to be coming off cooldown!"

Huang Yunshuo felt a chill, quickly activating his hovering spray to climb higher.

He frantically healed himself. Seeing Huang Yunshuo’s dangerous health bar in the friend list, Ye Piaoxue knew he was in a dire spot and took out all her remaining potent recovery sprays, letting him take them one by one.

Unfortunately, the knockback shot couldn't launch Gege Luo, but it could launch Huang Yunshuo.

As he flew backward, he didn't forget to keep using his potions.

A red light followed.

Huang Yunshuo panicked.

If he remembered correctly, the sonic wave cooldown was also up. He could withstand at most one hit from the red light, but not the sonic wave—if he didn't put enough distance between himself and Gege Luo, he was a dead man.

The Power of Cloud Patterns and Power of Flowing Wind lasted a long time once activated, as they consumed armor durability to mitigate damage. He didn't want to turn them off yet.

With 75% damage reduction, he survived the crit with less than 20 HP left, plummeting toward the ground.

"Don't let me die from the fall!"

He frantically downed two more potent recovery sprays in mid-air before slamming into the ground with a sliver of health left.

Gege Luo unleashed its sonic wave.

Huang Yunshuo, just having hit the ground, was stunned. Fortunately, Gege Luo was currently too busy venting its rage on Luo Liang and his men to notice him.

As soon as the stun wore off, Huang Yunshuo scrambled to his feet, sprinting away while spraying both healing potions on himself.

"Luo Liang, retreat! Make that bastard chase me!"

Seeing he was far enough away, Huang Yunshuo yelled at Luo Liang. Those eight cavalrymen were no match for the enraged Gege Luo, and he didn't want them to die.

Luo Liang, his own health below 200, took his men and fled in a panic.

Gege Luo, freed from its targets, chased Huang Yunshuo with bloodshot eyes. With a 50-meter aggro range, Huang Yunshuo wasn't worried about losing it.

"200."

Once his health reached 200, Huang Yunshuo stopped using Ye Piaoxue’s potent sprays, using regular sprays in his left hand while outputting damage with the rocket launcher in his right.

That was Gege Luo’s current health. After a life-or-death battle against Huang Yunshuo and the cavalry, it had finally reached the edge of death.

Huang Yunshuo fired three more rockets, and Gege Luo’s health dropped to 3%. With the constant bleeding effect, it would soon hit 2%.
