Chapter Thirty-Four: The PvP Shop
“Damn it!!!”
“There’s another top player here, and several pieces of white gear!”
“Is that the skill after changing class? What kind of class is so fierce?”
“Must be a hidden class… Wait, is this guy’s name ‘Simpleton’? Who would pick such a name, are they nuts?”
“Level 11, this is the ‘Simpleton’ who cleared the disaster-level dungeon! Master, please let me take a photo with you!”
As the players discussed, the whole crowd exploded with excitement.
He’s the number one in the whole server!
The first player to defeat the projection of Rooster Cluckcluck—not to mention the glory of it, but his strength alone must be at the very pinnacle of the game! Gamers all worship top players; now that one stands before them, how could they let the opportunity slip by?
The cold-eyed figure at the goal point was feeling smug, never expecting someone would attack him so violently.
He was sent flying by Huang Yunshuo, who crashed into him with ninety strength, knocking off fifteen HP instantly.
Fresh from his burst of speed, Huang Yunshuo dashed over to the airborne Cold Eyes and struck him with his sword.
-18!
Cold Eyes, who had only about seventy HP to begin with, was left with thirty-seven after the crash and the slash.
Huang Yunshuo’s second sword hit him for -17!
Then, he immediately activated Soaring Dragon, jumping back three meters with a fierce leap.
It was as if he had boosters attached to his rear, propelling him at triple speed to Cold Eyes’ side, whose swing had missed, and he struck again.
-35!
The stunned icon hadn’t even appeared above Cold Eyes’ head before he was enveloped in white light, and two flags—one black, one white—fell into Huang Yunshuo’s hands.
“Gulp.”
The surrounding players stared in amazement at the battle before them, swallowing involuntarily.
The Cold Eyes they’d chased and attacked for four minutes with a thousand people, unable to defeat, was crushed instantly by this player?
How strong must he be?
“Simpleton, master, please let us take a photo with you!”
At that moment, the players behind, faces flushed with excitement, rushed forward shouting.
“Simpleton? Who would use that name, who is he?”
Some were confused at first, but after asking around, everyone soon realized who Huang Yunshuo was. Facing someone who nearly soloed the disaster-level boss, who would still think of fighting for the flag?
More than anything, those two skills just now sent chills down their spines.
It was practically lightning-fast slaughter—even if his sword didn’t hit you, being knocked away would cost you a heap of HP.
If a thousand people tried to surround Simpleton, it wouldn’t be a chase to kill like with Cold Eyes; instead, it would be a massacre, with Huang Yunshuo reaping kills left and right.
“Hello, everyone.”
Huang Yunshuo smiled, radiating power, dominance, and cool confidence.
He wanted to ask—who else?
Unlike other arenas where players fought desperately for flags, here the atmosphere was friendly, with countless people whipping out screenshot and video tools to capture the moment.
“Let’s keep it low-key. I’ll just take these two flags, sorry everyone.”
“No problem! Meeting Simpleton is a joy in itself; the flag would never go to me anyway, haha.”
“Exactly! Take them, Simpleton, and widen your lead. We hope to keep seeing your name in server announcements!”
With everyone so amiable, Huang Yunshuo almost felt embarrassed.
“How about this: let’s take a group photo for the memory.”
His suggestion made eyes light up. The road was quickly cleared, and Huang Yunshuo stood at the front, surrounded by players, while over a thousand others found their places behind, successfully capturing the photo.
When all was done, the five-minute countdown ended, and Huang Yunshuo was teleported out of the arena.
“20 PvP points, 3 white gear essences, and 3 sets of white materials.”
He saw the reward notification and quickly checked it.
“Nothing I need. I’ve collected materials during this time; I’ll throw them all in the warehouse later.”
Skipping the white materials, Huang Yunshuo opened the PvP shop.
50 Small Health Recovery Sprays, 1 PvP point each.
20 Minor Mana Recovery Sprays, 1 PvP point each.
Tattered Hand Shield (+3 Defense), 6 PvP points.
Town Portal Scroll x1, 10 PvP points.
Tattered Newbie Iron Sword (6–8 Attack), 30 PvP points.
White Gear Pack (random), 50 PvP points.
White Gear Pack (selectable), 100 PvP points.
Micro Life Field Scroll (restores 2 HP per second for 60 seconds to all teammates within 5-meter radius), 100 PvP points.
That’s all the items available for exchange at the PvP shop, and a lot of new things.
The Micro Life Field Scroll is like a priest’s area healing skill, restoring a total of 120 HP. For a five-person group, that’s up to 600 HP; for a ten-person team, 1200 HP.
Its value lies in being usable during combat, boosting everyone’s HP without interrupting the fight—a game-changer in PvP.
Of course, such guild-oriented items have nothing to do with Huang Yunshuo.
He focused on the White Gear Pack.
The random pack is cheap, but it might not contain gear he can use; for example, he could get class-restricted equipment, or a crown, robe, or melee weapon, none of which he needs, meaning he’d have to find a way to trade them.
That could waste precious 50 PvP points.
The selectable pack is expensive, but you get exactly what you need, making it a fair deal. Still, Huang Yunshuo would never actually spend 100 PvP points on it.
After all, even if he buys two more entries later, he’ll only be able to play seven arena matches for a maximum of 140 points. If he buys the 100-point pack, he’d only get one piece of white gear.
But if he buys two random packs—even if luck isn’t on his side and neither suits him—
He can still trade them! There are plenty of pros out there, and quite a few who’ve captured five flags. Everyone can swap for what they need—wouldn’t that be ideal?
As for the remaining 40 PvP points, Huang Yunshuo already knows how he’ll spend them:
A tattered newbie iron sword and ten mana recovery sprays.
The iron sword only drops from soloing the rooster boss in advanced dungeons; it’s absolutely unavailable elsewhere. Otherwise, Huang Yunshuo wouldn’t have been stuck using a club at advanced difficulty.
This iron sword will be the highlight of his midday stream; he’s sure it’ll attract interest.
He’ll contact a wealthy player for a credit transfer—wouldn’t that be ideal?
Mana recovery sprays are equally precious; he’ll use those himself.
White gear essence.
“Collect 20 white gear essences to exchange for 1 random white gear pack. Damn, stingy.”
That means you must play seven matches and capture the black flag each time to redeem a pack.
Still, with the extra 50 PvP points, Huang Yunshuo is satisfied.
