Chapter Forty-Seven: Give Me a Mute Package, Please (Begging for Favorites and Recommendation Votes)
Seeing that everyone who was supposed to be here had arrived, Huang Yunshuo was quite satisfied and was just about to speak when he suddenly felt blinded.
Welcome, lv1 Drifting Snow, to the live stream.
Welcome, lv9 Endless Poetry, to the live stream.
Welcome, lv21 Slender Waist Canvas Shoes, to the live stream.
Welcome, lv11 Catcart Like a Tornado, to the live stream.
Welcome, lv1 Golden Wild Bear, to the live stream.
Welcome, lv7 Jungle Shadow Fox, to the live stream.
Welcome, lv1 Apostate of the Breaker, to the live stream.
Welcome, lv4 Wisdom Like the Wind, to the live stream.
“Damn you all!” Huang Yunshuo nearly spat blood when he saw these IDs flooding in.
He had hoped to avoid these people, thinking he could hide in a small corner and quietly stream, but he hadn’t expected these guys to log off elsewhere only to swarm in as a group, as if afraid he wouldn’t notice them.
Catcart Like a Tornado was Chen Tornado, Wisdom Like the Wind was Li Nan, and all eight of them had arrived at once.
“Song Na is already level 21? She must have spent nearly 3,000 credits by now. I wonder which handsome streamer she’s been tipping,” Huang Yunshuo mused, contemplating whether he should drop a hint to Chen Tornado. Imagining Chen Tornado’s neurotic reaction, he thought it would surely be entertaining.
“Ahem, the stream is starting, folks. All you idiots, mind your manners. Don’t spam the chat and distract the streamer from reading the comments,” Huang Yunshuo cleared his throat, launching into his signature irreverent streaming style.
“Get lost!”
“Moron, if you’re going to do something, do it already. Stop dragging it out.”
“Enough teasing, you fool. Hurry up.”
“Let’s just go straight to credit point transactions, shall we?”
Every now and then, small free gifts would pop up on the screen—Chicken, Like, Steady, and such. The variety of effects made the stream visually pleasing.
“Didn’t I tell you all yesterday? From now on, there’ll be a raffle every day at noon,” Huang Yunshuo asked, then added, “Didn’t I tell you to prepare meteors for noon and credit points for the evening?”
“All of you freeloaders, remember: if you don’t have credit points, hoard meteors like your life depends on it. If you can’t compete for the evening’s ranking gifts, your only hope is the noon meteor raffle!”
“Send what, exactly?”
“Meteors are hard to come by, all right? Want stardust instead?”
“You think you’re rich? If you’re so rich, why are you streaming? Look at this poverty-stricken idiot acting all high and mighty.”
“Whether I have money or not is none of your business, you moron. I’d rather tip a blacklisted streamer than give you a gift,” Huang Yunshuo retorted, and the chat exploded with thousands of replies. It was dizzying.
“I can’t be bothered to argue with you penniless brats. There’s a lot to get through, so let’s not waste time. First round starts now.”
“You see these seven hand shields here? Three defense, twenty durability. If you don’t want them, fine, but don’t show off. Plenty of people do want them.”
“I’ve got a bouncy ball here. I’ll toss it into the glass dome and let it bounce on its own. Whenever it stops, I’ll immediately take a screenshot—one ID per round. I’ll ship it out live and move on to the next, all right?”
Huang Yunshuo displayed the bouncy ball, extending his hand into a large transparent glass dome.
Fool: “Screw you. Even if my gift inventory was overflowing, I wouldn’t waste one on you.”
Dad: “Mute me if you dare, I’ll still send meteors. Hahaha.”
I’m a Dog if I Gift: “I have a feeling I’ll definitely win one of those hand shields.”
Sword of Despair: “Why does the atmosphere in this stream feel so weird…”
Martial Emperor Supreme: “Damn, I haven’t topped up in ages. What am I supposed to do if I don’t have meteors?”
To Her in Vain: “What junk equipment. You couldn’t pay me to take it. To hell with your raffle.”
[To Her in Vain was kicked from the stream by Idiot Streamer]
“A level 31 brat talking big? Who gave him the nerve?” Huang Yunshuo rolled his eyes.
“Idiot, you kicked someone out again!”
“Wait five minutes for someone to send a yacht!”
“The Baron can afford a yacht, right? If he doesn’t come back in and send one after being kicked, we’ll all call him a broke dog from now on!”
“Nice kick! Love watching these self-important brats get put in their place.”
The chat was filled with delight, though many still hurled insults at Huang Yunshuo.
Martial Emperor Supreme and Sword of Despair tensed up—this streamer was a bit heavy-handed, kicking people out for no reason, even high-level players. They were probably the highest-level viewers in the room now; hopefully, the streamer wouldn’t turn on them.
“Streamer!”
Cute Little Meng: “Give me a 10-minute mute package, thanks.”
[Cute Little Meng was muted for 10 minutes by Idiot Streamer]
Dad couldn’t help himself: “Give me ten minutes too.”
“You really are an idiot, aren’t you?” Huang Yunshuo tossed him a 30-day mute package. Dad was silenced for good.
“Send a yacht to be unmuted.”
Huang Yunshuo chuckled. The audience was split between cursing him and laughing uncontrollably.
“It’s starting,” he announced, bouncing the ball forcefully into the glass dome and sealing it with the lid.
Acres of Red-Braised Fields sent a meteor to the streamer.
Lin Lin Lin Oni sent a meteor to the streamer.
The moment the bouncy ball began to bounce, viewers couldn’t wait and started hurling meteors, more and more piling in until the entire chat was engulfed by meteor effect animations.
“Haha, you hopeless idiots crack me up,” Huang Yunshuo couldn’t contain his joy. “Haven’t you ever played with a bouncy ball? Once you release it, it bounces forever. Sending gifts now is pointless.”
“Mind your own business, idiot.”
“Shut up, brat.”
“Moron, I’ll send gifts if I want to, what are you going to do about it?”
Beneath the endless meteor effects, the chat scrolled so quickly it was barely legible, viewers firing back at Huang Yunshuo without hesitation.
He sipped water leisurely, enjoying the spectacle.
The meteor effect was indeed beautiful. Whenever a viewer sent one, a meteor streaked across the upper left of the screen in a bright flash, shooting diagonally to the lower right and vanishing.
At this moment, the 13-inch light-powered tablet was flooded with dazzling meteor effects, so bright it was blinding. Every second, meteors rained down from the upper left like a hailstorm.
As the bouncy ball began to slow, the number of meteors surged. It looked as if a multicolored waterfall cascaded from the top left, a dense, unending parade of parabolic meteor trails weaving together like thousands of strands of hair, moving in a continuous loop.
And just then, something unexpected happened.
A dazzling golden badge effect suddenly appeared at the center of the screen, overtaking and completely dominating the meteor spectacle.
