Liu Shihui took a deep breath. Suddenly, he understood why Xiao Yu had never resisted. This woman had planned everything from the very beginning. How laughable—it was he who thought Xiao Yu had fallen into his trap, yet she had turned the tables with a single strike, plunging him into a passive position.

Clearly, Liu Kaifeng was now deeply entangled. Yet, fortunately, although Liu Kaifeng had been exposed, the impact on Liu Corporation was not severe. With proper management, the company could still weather this storm.

Sacrificing a pawn to save the king—even if that pawn was his own son.

Pain flickered in Liu Shihui’s eyes. He had always admired Liu Kaifeng, believing him to be the most outstanding successor. Despite his son’s indulgent nature, his capabilities were undeniable. Who would have thought he would falter so disastrously, undone by Xiao Yu’s unexpected blow?

Half an hour later, all shareholders of Liu Corporation convened in the company’s conference room. Liu Shihui sat in the chairman’s seat, gazing steadily at the gathered crowd before speaking slowly, “Everyone, I believe you are already aware of today’s events. Without exaggeration, our company now stands at the eye of the storm. I have called you here to urge unity, so we may overcome this crisis together.”

“Liu Shihui, you speak lightly!” a man seated at the table sneered. “If it weren’t for you and your son’s greed for Qingxue Group in Xiao Yu’s hands, how could such a disaster have happened?”

The man was Wang Zhong, holding seven percent of Liu Corporation’s shares, the second largest shareholder after the Liu family.

“Wang Zhong, I am clear with you now: what has happened cannot be undone by words!” Liu Shihui’s tone was calm but resolute. “We must stabilize Liu Corporation’s stock—under no circumstances can it fall. I believe none here wishes to see our shares plummet, turning your holdings into worthless paper, right?”

Liu Shihui’s words drew unanimous nods. After all, Liu Corporation was publicly listed in the United States, and its yearly dividends were astronomical. A collapse in stock value would bring no good to any shareholder.

Wang Zhong fell silent. So did the others. Liu Shihui continued with measured composure, “Currently, Xiao Yu controls ten percent of the shares. I hope that whatever turbulence comes tomorrow, you remain calm. Liu Corporation will not fall—it is the fruit of years of hard work. I am sure none of you wishes to see it fail now.”

Having risen from humble origins, Liu Shihui spoke with undeniable authority. He had calmed himself; if these shareholders could be steadied, even if the stock dipped tomorrow, their foundation would remain unshaken. Though battered, Liu Corporation could still rise again given time.

“Xiao Yu is too impatient. Does she truly believe she can destroy Liu Corporation so easily? Ridiculous,” Liu Shihui thought. Stabilizing these men was key; once they were steady, the problem would be manageable.

The purpose of this meeting was clear: to assure them that Liu Corporation would endure. As long as they followed his lead, their profits would continue.

About an hour after Xiao Yu’s press conference ended, Liu Corporation’s meeting concluded as well.

Wang Zhong drove his luxury car back to his villa. The day’s rapid developments left him overwhelmed, fully aware that Liu Corporation faced a grave crisis.

The thought of his shares potentially shrinking caused him sharp pangs of pain, but he knew it was unavoidable—better to shrink than turn to worthless paper.

Just as this thought crossed his mind, a sudden flash of light appeared before him. Wang Zhong instinctively braked and looked up. The lights dimmed, and unexpectedly, a man and a woman stood before his car.

Wang Zhong furrowed his brow and recognized them. “Xiao Yu!”

“Xiao Yu came to see me?” Wang Zhong swallowed hard, then stepped out of the car, addressing her, “Director Xiao, I did not expect you to wait for me so late. May I ask the reason for your visit?”

Xiao Yu smiled faintly. “Mr. Wang, I believe you already know why I’m here.”

She then offered a small smile and said, “Please don’t speak yet. Let me show you something first; then we can talk.”

Wang Zhong was momentarily stunned as she handed him an iPad. He tapped to play a video, and his expression froze. The screen showed a man and a woman engaged in intimate combat. His brow knitted tightly as he looked at Xiao Yu. “Director Xiao, this is what you wanted me to see?”

Unhurriedly, Xiao Yu replied, “Mr. Wang, watch carefully. See who the female lead is. Then we’ll discuss.”

Wang Zhong trembled as he looked down—and was dumbfounded. The woman was his daughter-in-law. A wave of nausea nearly overwhelmed him. The male lead was none other than Liu Kaifeng.

“Damn it!” Wang Zhong clenched his fists, wanting to smash the tablet but suppressing his rage. He continued watching: after their passionate encounter, his daughter-in-law lay in Liu Kaifeng’s arms, whispering, “I’m pregnant.”

“Pregnant?” Liu Kaifeng grinned, “Great. That kid Wang Ping is a natural eunuch—how could he deserve a beauty like you?”

“What should I do?” the woman whispered softly. “I love this child. I don’t want to lose him.”

“Then just have the baby,” Liu Kaifeng said with a sly smile. “Let Wang Ping become a father by surprise. When the child grows up, we’ll find a way to inherit Wang Zhong’s fortune. I’ll make sure to kill them all. Then, I’ll marry you as my wife…”

Hearing this, the woman’s face lit up with happiness. Liu Kaifeng grinned again and pressed her onto the bed. The mattress creaked wildly.

Unable to bear any more of this scene, Wang Zhong looked up at Xiao Yu with icy eyes like a fierce beast. His throat moved as he croaked hoarsely, “This... this is quite something.”

Xiao Yu smiled faintly. “So, Mr. Wang, are you interested in talking?”

The three then moved to a nearby café.

By now, Wang Zhong had regained some composure, but his expression remained grim. After sipping bitter coffee, he asked Xiao Yu, “Director Xiao, where on earth did you get this?”

“Liu Kaifeng is notorious for his lust. He often preys on women under the pretense of business cooperation, then blackmails them with compromising photos to force submission,” Xiao Yu said slowly. “I have plenty more like this. When I decided to act against Liu Kaifeng, I hired someone to tail him and unexpectedly found these secrets on his computer.”

“So, to get straight to the point—Director Xiao, you want to buy my shares?” Wang Zhong looked at her intently.

“Of course,” Xiao Yu replied seriously. “It’s not just your shares, Mr. Wang. Liu Shihui has done many unscrupulous things over the years. With your skills, you should have no trouble protecting yourself, right?”

Wang Zhong sneered coldly. “Unbelievable. After working alongside Liu Shihui for so many years, my daughter-in-law ends up cuckolded. But Director Xiao, I have a question: do you really think you can destroy Liu Corporation all by yourself? And what good would that do me? I hold shares that bring huge dividends every year. If you topple Liu Corporation, those shares become worthless.”

Xiao Yu smiled faintly. “Mr. Wang, you jest. Between you and me, who do you think is stronger?”

Wang Zhong hesitated, then slowly said, “Naturally, Director Xiao. Your rapid rise in just three years to your current status proves you’re far more capable than Liu Shihui. This time, Liu Shihui tried to scheme against you but was severely backfired upon. The stronger party is obvious.”

“Thank you for the compliment,” Xiao Yu said politely. “Now, Mr. Wang, where do you think Liu Corporation makes more money—under my control, or under Liu Shihui and his son?”

Wang Zhong’s pupils contracted slightly. Xiao Yu smiled and said, “What benefit is there for me in ruining Liu Corporation? I merely intend to give it a new name.”
