Chapter 143: Wipe It Clean!
With the deafening roar of the engines, the plane finally arrived in Jiangzhou.
Chen Feng had slept soundly throughout the flight. Upon waking, he felt refreshed and invigorated. His cultivation had progressed significantly; even without relying on the Great Extraction System, his rate of improvement was far superior to that of an ordinary person.
After disembarking, Chen Feng spotted Fang Yue waiting for him from a distance. Seeing her after such a long time, he felt a surge of excitement and quickened his pace. "Yueyue, why are you here? Didn't I tell you to just wait for me at home?"
Fang Yue looked at Chen Feng, her cheeks flushing slightly. "I missed you!"
Chen Feng, deeply moved, gently pulled her into his arms and said softly, "Actually, you don't have to do this. Waiting for me is enough."
"I just missed you," Fang Yue whispered, her voice trembling slightly.
"Ahem, must you two lovebirds show off your affection in public?" At that moment, Lin Hang’s coughing interrupted them from the side.
Chen Feng paused, only then noticing the "third wheel" standing nearby. He asked curiously, "Lin Hang, what are you doing here?"
Lin Hang laughed and looked at Chen Feng. "It’s nothing. You told us so late that Fang Yue only found out you were coming back after you’d already boarded the plane. It would have been too late to take the subway, so I drove here to pick you up. Come on, let’s go!"
"You know how to drive?" Chen Feng asked, looking at him skeptically. "I don't think you even have a driver’s license, do you?"
Lin Hang rolled his eyes. "Of course I can drive, and I do have a license. What kind of joke is that? Come on, Chen Feng, let's go!"
"Alright," Chen Feng nodded.
Just then, Chen Feng sensed someone approaching him quickly from behind. Before he could react, he heard a sound—*spit*—and felt something flying toward him.
*Whoosh!*
Chen Feng pulled Fang Yue aside just in time. A thick glob of phlegm landed squarely on the collar of Lin Hang’s shirt.
Lin Hang froze, feeling the slimy, disgusting mess on his collar. Chen Feng turned abruptly and saw Ye Wenze standing there, arm around Lin Suxin. It was Lin Suxin who had spat. Seeing that the glob had missed Chen Feng, a look of annoyance crossed her face.
"It’s you?" Chen Feng recognized her immediately; without her oversized sunglasses, she was unmistakable.
"Suxin, it seems your aim was off. He actually dodged it. Tsk, tsk," Ye Wenze teased, not paying the slightest bit of attention to Chen Feng.
Lin Suxin nestled into Ye Wenze’s arms, pouting, "I wanted to hit him, but that brat just had to move. There was nothing I could do!"
"That’s simple."
Ye Wenze’s gaze locked onto Chen Feng, and an icy, murderous intent radiated from his eyes. Chen Feng felt a jolt—the man’s gaze carried a terrifying pressure.
*The Gaze.*
It was a technique that concentrated spiritual energy into the eyes to suppress an opponent. While not an incredibly advanced method—most martial artists possessed some form of it—Ye Wenze’s execution felt like a heavy boulder pressing down on one’s heart.
*What a terrifying gaze!*
Struck by this power, Chen Feng’s body trembled slightly. Ye Wenze sneered, "Brat, stand still and don't move. Suxin, you can spit on him now."
Arrogance—absolute, unadulterated arrogance. Chen Feng had encountered haughty people before, like Luo Wenhao or Liu Kaifeng, but even the two of them combined didn't amount to a tenth of Ye Wenze’s ego. Yet, this man clearly had the strength to back it up. He was a martial artist.
"What did you say?"
The words left Chen Feng’s mouth, and simultaneously, a terrifying aura erupted from him. Having shed blood and steadily increased his cultivation, Chen Feng possessed a formidable presence of his own.
As the words hit, Ye Wenze’s pupils contracted violently. He realized instantly that the man before him was no pushover; Chen Feng was a martial artist, and a powerful one at that.
However, Lin Suxin, unaware of the shift, felt compelled to spit again because Ye Wenze had commanded it.
Just as she prepared to do so, a blur appeared before her. Chen Feng had lunged forward, swinging his hand and delivering a resounding slap across her delicate face. The force of the blow created a gust of wind.
"How dare you!" Ye Wenze roared, his right hand striking out with vibrating fingers, unleashing a burst of Yang energy aimed directly at Chen Feng’s body.
It was a martial technique called the "Ignition Finger."
A rather ridiculous name, perhaps, but the heat radiating from his fingertip was no less intense than real fire. Furthermore, it contained immense force; if it pierced the body’s defenses, it could sear the internal organs or cause meridians to wither. Despite the silly name, the power behind the strike was genuinely terrifying.
However, Ye Wenze had not yet mastered the technique. As the finger neared him, Chen Feng swiped his left hand, meeting Ye Wenze’s finger with his palm.
*Thud!*
Ye Wenze shuddered. He was astonished to find that Chen Feng’s palm contained a surge of explosive internal energy. Upon contact, Ye Wenze didn't gain the upper hand; instead, he was pushed back repeatedly by a powerful counter-shock.
Chen Feng was secretly shocked as well. The internal energy from the "Ignition Finger" didn't harm him at all; rather, his Dantian surged and absorbed the energy directly.
*Is this a special property of my Nine Yang Body?* Chen Feng wondered.
*Slap!*
It all happened in a flash. As Ye Wenze stumbled back, unable to withstand the force, Chen Feng delivered another heavy slap to Lin Suxin’s face.
The crisp sound of the blow sent Lin Suxin crashing to the ground. She let out a scream, and the phlegm she had intended to spit was forced back down her throat.
"You..." Lin Suxin had never suffered such humiliation. Having been forced to swallow her own spit, she felt a wave of nausea so intense she nearly vomited her breakfast.
"Clean it up," Chen Feng pointed to Lin Hang’s collar, his voice cold. "Clean it off for him."
"What did you say?" Lin Suxin was stunned. This guy wanted her to wipe the phlegm off his collar? How dared he?
Lin Hang waved his hands nervously. "Forget it, Chen Feng! It’s not worth it!" He recognized Lin Suxin as a famous celebrity and was wary of the trouble she might cause in retaliation.
"Clean it up."
Chen Feng gestured to Lin Hang again, staring calmly at Lin Suxin. Over the past few months, Chen Feng’s status had undergone a sea change, but deep down, his loyalty to his friends remained. Especially Lin Hang, his first "sidekick." If his friend was humiliated, Chen Feng would not let it slide.
"Lin Suxin, wipe that phlegm off immediately, or don't blame me for being impolite!"
"Impolite? I’d like to see how you could possibly be impolite to me!" Lin Suxin scrambled to her feet, looking less like a glamorous star and more like a rural shrew.
*Whoosh!*
Before she could finish, Chen Feng grabbed her by the hair. Without giving her a chance to react, he forced her face down toward Lin Hang’s collar.
As the slimy substance smeared onto her face, Lin Suxin went wild, clawing and struggling, but Chen Feng held firm until the collar was completely clean.
*Boom!*
Chen Feng released his grip, and Lin Suxin was sent stumbling back, falling hard to the ground. She sat there with disheveled hair, looking utterly wretched.
