Clatter!

A string of data flashed across the system’s interface. Moments later, a character appeared directly on the display screen. Upon seeing his new hero, Chen Feng blinked in surprise, the corners of his mouth twitching slightly. He never expected it would be this guy.

"Yuanfang actually possesses such terrifying combat power?"

Chen Feng stared at the data provided by the system in astonishment. He hadn't followed the show *Detective Di Renjie* religiously, having only caught a few episodes here and there, but he understood that Yuanfang was Magistrate Di’s personal bodyguard and arguably the most formidable fighter in the series.

What surprised Chen Feng, however, was the sheer breadth of data provided by the system. Many of these abilities were never demonstrated on television. It seemed the system had fully compensated for any gaps in Yuanfang’s repertoire; the version presented here was a master of eighteen different weapons. It felt as though Yuanfang could wield any weapon placed in his hands, and not just adequately—each weapon-based skill cost over 200 achievement points.

Chen Feng deduced that to master a common weapon to the Great Perfection stage likely required 500 points. Special weapons required more. Since even the "Great Success" stage cost over 200 points, it meant Yuanfang had reached the Great Success level with every single weapon.

"The Dan-Energy internal skill only costs 6,000 points?" Chen Feng squinted. Judging by the data, Yuanfang’s combat power might even surpass Stephen Chow’s. Yet, the system had required over 10,000 points for him to extract Chow’s Dan-Energy. Did the system consider Yuanfang’s internal strength inferior to Chow’s?

"No, that's not it!" Chen Feng shook his head slightly. It must be that he had already reached the Void Dan realm. In other words, his own strength had significantly improved; he was already at the half-step Dan level, so the system calculated that he no longer needed 10,000 points to break through to the full Dan stage.

Exhaling, Chen Feng stretched his limbs and muttered to himself, "Still, Li Yuanfang’s combat power is terrifying. I’ve already extracted Stephen Chow’s lightness skill, yet it’s still inferior to Yuanfang’s by a margin of over 2,000 points. Moreover, Yuanfang’s stats are far from ordinary. His capabilities might even be more fearsome than Zhang Mu’s!"

From what he remembered of the show, Yuanfang could easily tear a person apart—a feat even more gruesome than the legendary "tearing a devil apart with bare hands."

However, if they were to truly clash, Chen Feng felt Yuanfang might not be a match for Zhang Mu. Yuanfang’s strength lay primarily in his agility, chain-sickle, and swordsmanship. As for martial techniques, the system didn't specifically list them; it simply meant Yuanfang was proficient with various weapons but not necessarily a master of martial arts forms.

As he pondered this, Chen Feng realized with frustration that he was low on achievement points. After extracting Stephen Chow’s Dan-Energy and having a portion siphoned off by Xiao Yu, his points had been depleted. Over the last few days, despite not actively hunting for them, his balance had trickled back up to just over 1,000.

For Chen Feng, 1,000 points was a drop in the ocean. He didn’t feel the need to extract Yuanfang’s swordsmanship or chain-sickle technique—after all, was he supposed to walk around carrying a sword and a sickle? He had spent over 1,000 points on a shield previously that he hadn't even used yet.

"Looks like I’ll have to find a way to earn more achievement points!"

Chen Feng sighed to himself. Though a new hero had been unlocked, he seemed of little immediate use. Perhaps in time, once he had enough points, he could trade for that Dan-Energy.

Resigned, he closed the "Grand Extraction System" and lay on his bed, bored. Suddenly, a wave of cold air erupted throughout the room. He shivered, jolting upright and leaping off the bed.

"Is something wrong with Xiao Yu?" His heart raced with anxiety. He hurried toward the basement, only for the cold air to vanish as abruptly as it had appeared, as if it had never been there at all. Chen Feng steadied his nerves, then heard soft footsteps. Before he could react, Xiao Yu was standing right in front of him.

"When did she get there?"

Chen Feng trembled. He hadn't sensed her approach at all; she had arrived like a gust of wind, completely unnoticed.

Xiao Yu felt different now. Before, Chen Feng had only thought of her as beautiful, but now she possessed an ethereal, transcendent quality. Her face and figure remained unchanged, but her entire aura had undergone a sea change. She was elegant, graceful, and fairy-like. Just by standing there and offering a gentle smile, she made Chen Feng feel as though he had stepped into a celestial realm.

"Sister, are you alright?" Chen Feng asked, his heart surging with emotion upon seeing her.

Xiao Yu smiled, not answering his question. Instead, she reached out, wrapped her arms around his neck, and pressed a kiss to his lips. Her lips were slightly cool, leaving a lingering sweetness.

After a long moment, she pulled back and beamed. The ethereal air around her began to fade, and Chen Feng felt her return to the Xiao Yu he knew—no longer untouchable, but grounded once more.

"Little brother, thank you."

Xiao Yu led Chen Feng into the living room, a sweet smile still playing on her lips. She pushed him onto the sofa and settled against him, the two of them embracing in a familiar, intimate posture.

"Sister, you're too kind. But are you really alright?"

Chen Feng’s hands wandered restlessly over her body. Although he couldn't fully consummate their relationship, enjoying the touch was more than enough. Xiao Yu giggled, not resisting him at all, but rather leaning closer as she spoke, "Of course I'm fine. I used a bit of your Nine-Yang energy to suppress the Yin energy in my body. I can finally control my True Qi now!"

"True Qi?" Chen Feng blinked. He noticed she hadn't said "internal energy," but "True Qi."

"Yes, True Qi!" Xiao Yu looked at him with a soft smile. "This is the sign of transitioning from the Acquired to the Innate realm. Acquired internal energy can evolve into Innate True Qi, which has many miraculous properties. My Yin energy won't flare up for at least three years, so my dear brother, you must break through to the Innate realm within that time!"

"Break through to the Innate realm in three years?" Chen Feng smiled confidently. "That won't be a problem. I’ll definitely make it!"

He spoke with absolute certainty. He never viewed such things as difficult; after all, his breakthroughs relied not on talent or enlightenment, but on the system. As long as the system was powerful enough and he could accumulate enough achievement points, wasn't reaching the Innate realm just a matter of course?

He vaguely intuited that a Tier 3 hero was likely equivalent to an Innate-level powerhouse.

Three years was more than enough. He had reached his current level in mere months; if he couldn't hit the Innate realm in three years, he might as well go find a block of tofu to smash his head against.

With Xiao Yu out of seclusion, Chen Feng gave her a brief rundown of recent events.

"The major shareholders of the Liu Group were arrogant. I had intended to strip them of their control, but I didn't expect you to handle it for me!" Xiao Yu wasn't upset by his actions, nodding instead. "I never imagined, little brother, that you were such a decisive and ruthless person."

"Oh, not at all, not at all!" Chen Feng replied with a modest grin.
